The new routing algorithm takes into account specific challenge that truck drivers face. For instance in most cases it will avoid small town roads & narrow residential areas, narrow streets and sharp turns when calculating a route for a truck driver. Additionally, it will take the maximum speeds some trucks are not allowed to exceed when calculating a route and arrival time for a route.
IQ Routes
The innovative IQ Routes™ technology is based on real average speeds measured on roads, rather than static maximum speeds per road type. This means the new TomTom GO 530 range determines a route by considering all possible routes and then selecting the one that takes the least time.
