The real Lockheed Martin/Boeing F-22 Raptor is a fighter aircraft that uses stealth technology It is primarily an air superiority fighter, but has multiple capabilities that include ground attack, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence roles. The United States Air Force considers the F-22 a critical component of the U.S. strike force.

Not to be confused with the toy helicopters though, this is a proper model with full 3D control. There is a similar two channel version on the market with very limited control but this is the better four channel one that allows you to go up and down; rotate right and left; bank left and right, and move forwards and backwards.

The F-22 is claimed by multiple sources to be the world’s most effective air superiority fighter. The US Air Force states that the F-22 cannot be matched by any known or projected fighter aircraft. Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, Chief of the Australian Defense Force, said in 2004 that the "F-22 will be the most outstanding fighter plane ever built."

The F22 EDF Jet is one exceptional rc jet. It is power-driven by a bigger than standard 70mm electric ducted fan along with a powerful 2836 inner runner brushless motor and 45A ESC 5A UBEC. The battery has also been upgraded to a big 14.8V, 2200mah LiPo giving more power and speed. The jet is made with dense and solid foam and comes with a strong set of fixed landing gear. It flies very fast and has tremendous wing area and large control surfaces. The F22 is also very stable for intermediate pilots and very easy to fly for experts. Thrust is superb with better than 1-1 thrust to weight ratio. This jet has a 27” wingspan and is 40” in length. It flies magnificently with true aerodynamic ability and will handle wind much better just like the real F22 Raptor. It's a highly maneuverable model that can easily perform inverted flight, loops and rolls etc. The model comes pre-painted with everything you need included apart from the normal AA batteries for the transmitter. The model is almost ready to fly out of the box with only very minor assembly required such as attaching the wings. Everything you need to complete is included in the box.

Included is a 1000m range transmitter, electronic speed controller, ducted fan with electric brushless motor and 5 electric servos all pre-installed. The 4ch transmitter gives full 3D control of the aileron, elevator, rudder and throttle. The ducted fan system with the brushless motors and li-po battery gives enormous power pushing the jet to crazy speeds. The high power allows full aerobatic characteristics and inside loops, outside loops, axial rolls, inverted flight, knife edge, stall turns, hammerheads, and spins are all possible.

The attention to detail from Starmax who are the leading rc jet manufacturers gives the jet a nice realistic appearance. The jet can take off from the ground or can be hand launched. If you are not ready to be flying at high speeds then you can also fly the plane very slowly while you get used to it without any problems.
