Special Note? Rear Mounted Cycle Carriers
It is recommended that conventional strapped rear mounted carriers are not fitted to the following vehicles:
?Sports Cars - Due to insufficient strength of lightweight or composite body panels and unsuitable body curvature.
?Cabriolets - Due to fixing points being impeded by hood mechanisms and reduced space on rear of vehicle.
?Split Tailgate - Due to insufficient strength of hinges, rear door construction and difficulty to fit carrier correctly .
?Side Opening Tailgate - Due to insufficient strength of hinges and difficulty to fit carrier correctly.
ALSO
?Ensure your vehicle has two possible chassis mounting points. These must be either a towing eye or a secure place under the vehicle e.g. sub-frame.
Alternatives for carrying cycles are tow bar or roof mounted cycle carriers.
