Touch panel, 65,000-color Transflective TFT LCD screen

The Mio 168 uses a TFT LCD screen, providing benefits-such as clear visibility in strong light, high brightness and contrast, superior clarity, and exceptionally crisp image quality-that traditional STN or other 4096-color low-end color displays cannot hope to match. The Mio 168 also integrates LED backlighting technology that protects your eyes through brighter, more uniformly illuminated screen images, while conserving power to extend battery life.

Super-capable Pocket PC
The Mio 168 uses Microsoft’s Pocket PC 2003 operating system, and with its sleek, ultra-light form factor, is the ideal PDA, in addition to being the perfect GPS navigation system when you’re behind the wheel.


Easy to use

Re-designed user interface makes CoPilot live | Pocket PC 5 an incredibly easy Satellite Navigation system to use and learn. Planning and entering trips is now easier than ever with large, clearly labelled buttons for finger touch operation. A step by step tutorial enables first time users to set-up the system and start driving in minutes.

New and improved map displays

CoPilot live uses satellites to display your position on a detailed street map. 3D map display, and night mode provide an improved user experience, customisable to driving conditions, but without compromising driver safety. The enhanced Map view provides a new arrow graphic and simplified turn instruction to emphasise junctions and to highlight the road ahead.

Switching between different map views is easy through a simple drop down menu. Choose from ‘Driver Safety’, ‘Where am I’, ‘Entire Trip’, ‘Next Turn’, 3D perspective and Turn by Turn Itinery all at the touch of a button.





The latest maps – including M6 Toll Road

CoPilot live incorporates the latest street maps from NAVTEQ, including the Isle of Man; more detailed coverage of Ireland and continental Europe. Thousands of new and updated points of interest have been added and updated, such as cinemas, restaurants, car parks and golf courses.

Unlike other navigation systems, CoPilot live | Pocket PC 5 now includes the UK’s M6 Toll road, and all of the many changed roads around it.



Wherever you are, wherever you need to get to, CoPilot live will calculate the route to your destination using the most accurate and complete maps available.

Easy step-by-step address entry

CoPilot live | Pocket PC 5’s simple step-by-step address entry, with type-ahead recognition searches the comprehensive database and, as you’d expect from CoPilot, lists possible matches instantly. It’s a simple yet thorough process to input exact locations and add them to the itinery. Inputting destinations is faster and easier than ever.

New methods of destination entry include latitude/longitude and intersection entry. Pick a stop from the map simply by tapping and holding a location on-screen.

Once an itinery has been keyed-in you can re-order and delete stops via the ‘Going To screen’. Its even possible to optimise the entire trip to work out the best route around multiple stops!

Turn by turn male and female voice guidance
London Congestion Charge alerts. CoPilot live | Pocket PC 5 alerts you if your route passes through the London Congestion Charge zone or if your destination is within the zone. You can select an alternative route to avoid the congestion charge zone if your destination is outside it.
Route-over highlighting that highlights the correct road ahead clearly and visibly.



Advanced desktop software that provides improved custom points of interest management; updated maps, and ability to download entire regions using the data download wizard.
Enhanced Live communications* includes real-time tracking, messaging and remote itinery updates from base to mobile device via a secure web site. Capability to track multiple vehicles from a single screen. With CoPilot live | Pocket PC 5 you can send tracking numbers to family and friends when out on the road, and enable them to track your progress, view your eta and even send you messages, all in real time.
