One-Hand Stow
A remarkably simple, one-hand stow mechanism gets Riptide Transom in and out of the water in no time. Just pull up and forward to stow the motor with no buttons or release levers. Then when it’s time to go, use the easy-access thumb release to deploy Riptide Transom into any of ten different positions.
Steering Tension Control with Quick-Lock Cam Depth Adjuster
The innovative new tension collar above the Riptide Transom mount allows you to adjust steering tension precisely to your desired level. Keep it loose for effortless steering or tighten it down to keep Riptide Transom in place – which allows for true vertical stowing. Change depths simply and securely with the Quick-Lock cam adjuster. It makes depth adjustment simple and locks in tight to keep your motor right where you want it.
Advanced Corrosion Protection
Riptide motors are impervious to saltwater’s corrosive effects, thanks to premium-grade marine alloys and aluminum upper arms. Metals undergo a rigid multi-step cleaning process before being anodized or coated with a special zinc dichromate armor plating. All components are then finished with a durable 5-mil TGIC polyester, powder coat paint. When it’s all done, you’re left with unequaled corrosion protection.

Minn Kota RipTide Transom Mount Motors for Salt Water
Minn Kota's Riptide range of transom mount electric outboard motors is deigned for saltwater use (can still be used for fresh water use). These motors feature advanced corrosion protection using premium grade alloys that are impervious to rust unlike the fresh water motors which are not recommended for salt water use.
Riptide transom mount motors are available with thrust levels ranging from 40 - 101lbs with 36", 42" and 52" shaft lengths. Minn Kota's inovative Maximiser Technology is standard with the 55, 80 & 101 models providing up to five times longer on a single battery charge maximising your time on the water.
These Riptide Outboard Motors are great for fishing trips, canoes or as an auxiliary for tenders in saltwater.
