Icom IC-M505 Fixed VHF / DSC Marine Transceiver The Icom IC-M505 VHF and DSC unit are now the benchmark by which all other fixed VHF is measured.
The IC-M505 is suitable for leisure users, small commercial vessels, HM Coastguard, marine police, small rescue organisations etc.
The Icom IC-M505 and remote control handset, HM-162, are waterproof to IPX8 (1.5 m for 30 minutes) and are more waterproof than anything else on the market.
The command mike is unique in that you can control all the M505 functions remotely up to 21 m from the base unit, including DSC, loud hailer and foghorn
When connected to a suitable GPS potter, the IC-M505 will allow a visual display of incoming DSC distress alert and position requests.
Linked to a two-way hailer horn, communication with other boats or deck-hands is easy. The built-in amplifier increases talk power to 25W making your message loud and clear. Four fog horn patterns are available for the automatic foghorn, adding further to the safety to the vessel.
Accessories include optional HM-126RB/RG remote hand microphone, DC power cable, flush mounting kit, Microphone hanger kit and handbook. The HM-162 comes supplied with the OPC-1540 Extension cable (6m/20ft) and Microphone hanger kit.
