*Had no problems assembling the TV onto its stand and it was already set up for PAL-I so it was ready to use straight out of the box. Hooked it up to the external house aerial and the picture was superb - much better than I was expecting, even after reading the reviews on this site. The sound however is pretty poor. The 'tinny' sound is expected from such small speakers, but the high pitch treble really does go right through you. I hooked up some external speakers, but the over-stated treble was still there so it seems to be the actual circuitry within the TV causing a high pitch 'whine' accompanying every sound. I think the only way around this would be too muffle the sound a bit, so a piece of acoustic cloth covering the speakers would probably cure this. Still, a terrific little screen which you would struggle to beat for this money.
